I have worn it with sports shirts and the younger crowd would probably wear it with a t-shirt to be trendy. This is definitely a 3-season vest that is put together well; appropriate for casual-to dress wear. It is NOT for wearing a backpack over until one is using this sweater at the end of it's useful life.
