good value for lightweight hiking By hay fever from bay area on 04/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear very stiff, heavy, waterproof hiking boots for cold wet conditions, but needed a lightweight breathable shoes for spring/summer. These fit my criteria and were comfortable from the first hike. The shoes are not full of bells and whistle, but are a good value. I have to agree with one of the previous feedback where the wearer had difficulty with getting into the shoe. You really have to loosen up the entire shoe to get your feet in.
Be sure you order up in size. I'm usually a 7.5(long, narrow feet) and ordered the 8 which worked out fine with lightweight summer socks. If you plan to use thick, cushy socks you may need to go up a full size.
By Gwendolyn from Torrington, CT on 03/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: a size 9.5 was more like an 8 - beautiful shoe but size was a big problem
