Comments: I used my Powell #8 for the first time fishing an Ohio steelhead river. I caught over a dozen steelhead with several 30 inchers. I liked the sensitivity and flex of the rod. It was perfect in fast moving water, plus our guide had no problems with it and caught several large fish on it. If you like flex, go for it!

Comments: I used this 5 wt last Friday on the lower Owens wild trout section near Bishop for the first time. I thought it was exceptional. It was light and sensitive for a 5 wt and really helped control line. Mending was particularly easy. The line seemed to jump off the water. I was using GPX. This is going to be my go to rod for a 5 wt.
