Good arch support for speed walking By Professor G from Neptune Beach on 11/29/2008 Cons: Slightly short in length Best Uses: Standing, Walking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for speed walking - I need good arch support. I have also taken them on a trip. Unlike my old running shoes I find I can stand/walk/shop/run errands with these and feel comfortable. I have only had them two weeks so don't know how well they stand up but there was no real break in time. I wear thick socks so need a shoe horn to get on.

They're a little stiff, but I would guess they'll soften up with use. I wear a 7-7.5 in most shoes, but always an 8 in my running shoes--ordered these in an 8, and they're fine.
