EXCELLENT ACTIVITY FIRST LAYER By Ice Man from Traverse City, MI on 11/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Competition, Team Sports Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first layer under ice hockey equipment. It provides comfort and wicking during heavy activity; it transports moisture quickly so that underlayer is dry during games. Warmth for my use is not important. I would expect sedentary cold weather use (deer hunting, boat fishing} would provide warmth as well as a comfort layer under wool pants, if used. The Polartec is impressive. I would recommend these for quality, performance, price.
