Great general use outdoor pant! By Vermontster from Northern Vermont on 10/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable waist, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Fly placket sticks out Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Hiking, Teaching Phys Ed Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I teach in a school as well as guide and teach rock and ice climbing. These pants can go from the gym to the crag, and even the restaurant with ease. The best feature for me though is the non-elastic waist. I can use a lightweight webbing belt of my own to decide how tight I want the waist. Very important if you are spending all day in them. The fabric is just stretchy enough. Only thing that makes them 4 star is that the placket over the fly is sewn so that it always sticks out, even when snapped. This is annoying as it catches on stuff. Great pants otherwise.
