By Mark from Oklahoma on 06/17/2009 Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Biking, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They seem a bit short on the length from the crotch up - my regular bike jerseys gap up when wearing these things. Good padding, though.
By arjay from southborough, ma on 06/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly Cons: Not as stout as expected, Not Enough Padding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was an okay buy for the price but not a substitute (as hoped) for a high level long distance garment
Comfortable, good quality cycling shorts By Vazaidoc from Sunnyvale, CA on 06/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Good Padding, Great Fit Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Biking, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only used them a couple of times on 5-6h runs mostly on flat trails and have not washed them yet, therefore I assigned them 4 out of 5 stars. I am pleased with their quality and fit, and another pair I have given as a gift also received compliments, but their sizing was slightly off in the waist (for that person, who has a medium frame body, W33-36", L in these shorts):
Here I would have to add that I have a slim body (W32-33", M fit me well), but I agree with other reviewers who described these shorts as having the sizing a bit off. Even though STP's published sizing is correct, they seem to be tighter in the waist and larger around calves than expected.
Plenty of padding and support made my ride wonderful. Switching from another, older pair, I could definitely instantly feel the difference of having a better design with quality padding materials. I purchased them on sale with a coupon and pricing was unbeatable.
