By Stuck in Wisconsin from Central Wisconsin on 04/06/2009 Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Neck Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A good 100% cotton dress shirt. For the STP price, it's a good value. Don't know if there is a lot of value at the retail price. You'll need collar stays. The ones that came with the shirt are paper thin, cheap plastic.
By Chauncey from Seattle, WA on 03/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Elegant, High Quality Best Uses: Formal Occasions, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Elegant Chest Size: Feels true to size Neck Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have purchased 6 of these shirts - 3 in white and 3 in blue - as the shirts to wear with suits and sportscoats for business and dressy casual occasions. I purchased 2 at first, liked them, and then purchased the additional 4.
By CC from Cape Charles, VA on 03/18/2009 Cons: Very thin material, Wrinkles Easily Best Uses: Formal Occasions, Office Describe Yourself: Classic Chest Size: Feels true to size Neck Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Aside from the sleeve length (advertised 36/37) leaning significantly to the 37 part of the range, my greatest concern is the thickness of the material. That it is translucent bothers me less than the actual feel of the material. I have several custom fit shirts as well as several Land's End/Clairborne level everyday shirts; the XMI cannot approach the custom shirts, of course, but I see little advantage over the others which are quite serviceable. I bought two of these XMI shirts and did not return them as an experiment - but initial impression is not promising for such a respected mark.
