Gets lots of jealous looks at the beach By J from Carlsbad, CA on 09/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Cons: Fiberglass poles, Short weak stakes Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: On Tamarack Beach, lots of folks stop to ask where to get one. Lots of beach shade at a light weight, especially compared to the usual beach shelters and umbrellas.
Tends to want to turn into a parachute and fly at times.
You MUST anchor corner(s) and/or guy line(s)if there's wind. We're using nylon sacks filled with sand. Stakes that come with it are useless in sand.
Haven't tried it in really big wind...yet.
By Linda from Holland, Michigan on 08/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sturdy Cons: 2 cords arrived frayed Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Three grandbabies napped under the shade while their moms sat in beach chairs, also under the canopy. Held up in 25 mph lake winds.
