I discovered fleece about 10 years ago. I bought my father a fleece jacket and liked it so much I bought the same one for me. Great jacket still have it, elbows are are a little worn but it keeps me warm and blocks the wind very well. This jacket is very comfortable as long as it does not get windy. It does not block the wind well but it will keep you warm if you wear a windbreaker on top. I wear it around town and at home often, it feels very cozy. Phoenix nights in the winter drop down to the 40's and we do not use the heat much because it is nice to cozy up. I would not use this jacket in extreme weather, so I have clothes to fit just about any weather condition except arctic or Montana winters.

My only nit, and its a small one, is that the zippers on the side pockets zip down to close. I never have understood this design approach as it provides the least security for pocket contents. I much prefer zippers that pull up to close. But I don't consider this a deal killer given everything else that's so "right" about this garment.
