Best to gradually adjust by wearing for short periods of time. I believe that more forefoot flex, like the Nike Free, would make this shoe even better. Would like to try a pair for my 84 year old mother.

But once I started to wearing them regularly, I noticed that my constant knee pain diminished substantially. So I went for these as more casual. Unfortunately, they are not as wide in the toe box as my other shoes. I will probably stick to the leather versions. If the toe box is not an issue, these will be fine.
