Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great product if you are going to keep your swing chair in one place and you do not want to drill holes or have no beams. I had wanted one more portable, so I returned it. It did not come with assembly instructions, but it is easy to figure out. Very sturdy and adjustable

It only takes a few minutes to set up and seems very sturdy. It's also remarkably lightweight for what it is (strong enough to suspend a person in a chair).
Downsides: rather bright green (not typical lawn-furniture dark green) and the paint scratches very easily. There's not much room to swing in comparison to hanging from an overhead beam or tree limb, but I don't think there's any way around that. Definitely worth the money at STP prices; not sure I'd be happy if I'd paid retail.
