gorgeous leather work worth the price By greg the shoebuff from riverside ca on 07/26/2008 Cons: Hard on soles of feet, Leather is a bit thin Best Uses: Formal Occasions, Goin to church shoes Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: these testoni loafers feature everything that you'd expect for highend non-bespoke shoes from italy. fine stitching, meticulous detailing, all leather construction, etc. the leather is equal to gucci's wallet leather when gucci leather was synonymous with the best (70's 80's). the shoes lack footbed cushioning and so are uncomfortable for long periods of time but do make a splash when worn to special functions. the leather covered elastic gores demonstrate an attention to detail that i haven't seen in many high-end footwear. you'll have to pamper this shoe with some tlc after each wearing though, i.e., good shoetrees a must, murphy's oil soap to clean up soil and scuff marks after each prolonged use, and of course the usual flannelshoebagstorage protocol. all-in-all testoni shoes are worth the price for daddy warbucks fashion.

Going a half size down is not the answer as this shoe has a longer last, larger heel, wider sole and greater volume in overall size. It is heavier in weight than the other two pairs of Testoni dress shoes I purchased [...]. If you can live with the extra length in the toe box then buy it. Unfortunately for me its a return.
