Comments: The red outside is matched with the great tartan inside - the Australian wool from which it is made guarantees comfort and long wear. There is a phone pocket and secure pocket for carrying wallet or passport leaving the long pockets on the outside to keep the hands warm. Will be wearing the coat and using the hood to keep out the wind and chill this winter.

I looked at this coat in long and short (the short is a jacket) as well as the Gloverall (another very nice option). This is a classic duffle coat without lining and looks like it will last for decades. In the two days I've had this, I've worn it in 20 F snowy weather with just a turtle neck and with a denim shirt. It was more than warm enough. I especially like the length and that I can button it up with my gloves on. A nice surprise were two interior pockets: a small velcro closure pocket to fit an MP3 player or phone and a zippered pocket.
It's not as warm as my technical jackets and parkas, but that's not what I got it for. It's not a luxurious overcoat by any means, but that's not what I got it for either. It's a great every day, slightly dressy long coat that I will wear down to 0F (with appropriately warm clothing).
In summary, a classic duffle coat at a great price. I'm very pleased.
