A 'pack-light' jacket at a light cost By Christopher, the traveler. from St. Louis, Mo, currently. on 12/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Just Great, Not Enough Pockets or Features, Not perfect, OK so I want the sky Best Uses: Great survival gear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't the funds for the more 'refined' light-weight rain-shells but, at this price I'm willing to modify this very good 'basic' product. Presumably, I'll end up with a custom-made product that's just right for me. As regards fit and durability, I'm 6'2" @ 153#, I ordered and received a L/G, I believe it's fit is good enough , and the sleeves are long enough that I could curl my hands up out of the wind and rain in a pinch. As regards durability, I've just received this jacket, and unless the weather gets even crazier, (right GW, climate change is just a figment of OUR collective imaginations) I shouldn't need it until summer 2009 when my wife and I, if we can afford it, might go hiking upon the upper elevations of some N American peaks. Then we'll find out just how good, and/or durable it is, as 'the proof will be in the pudding'. P.S. It's a good thing I tend to be concise. Other-wise, I might construct run on paragraphs!
