By BigMike from NC on 01/05/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Difficult Laces, Too Stiff/Not Flexible, Wide is narrow stiff Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Tactical use Army Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a 11.5 (US) 2E in most shoes. This boot is quite narrow even in the Wide sizes. Be sure to break them in well long before taking on any difficult trek.

By Wayne the Surveyor from Colorado on 12/16/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, No Goretex a pro I think, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist, Land Surveyor, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots beat the heck out of wimpy, over-priced Vasques. Most of my use is off trail in mountainous terrain. I've destroyed a lot of more expensive boots. I think the lack of goretex is a plus. I liked these well enough to buy 2 pair.
