Comments: Dose of primaloft is adequate but not overkill, more of a piece for wearing in extreme cold while on the move than an in-camp insulation piece. Good mid-belay jacket or camp coat in iffy weather. I have worn it belaying cold climbing days, waiting to ice-climb, as hiking backup in the rockies adirondacks etc in the shoulder seasons, skiing in sub-zero temps, and walking the dogs. A bit heavier and warmer than the puffballs tm. If you want a winter-cold camp piece go with down. Technically, the gossamer fabric is thin, but dries great and wears ok, mine is 6 yrs old with minimal wear spots. 3 avg size pockets plus 2 mesh inner pockets are pretty slick. Mine size L fits well for 6'3" 190 lbs 42" chest, room for light layers underneath. A hood (apparently available) would help as a belay piece. Mine has lost some loft but still has life left.

Comments: I loved my jacket so much my boyfriend decided he had to have one too, in a different color of course. It is not too bulky, warm, but doesn't roast you, and it looks cool. I wore it today in 25 degree weather and I felt perfect. I prefer it over fleece because it keeps the chilly wind out!
