By TheNiceGuy from Petaluma, CA on 05/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think I'm going to like this jacket quite a bit. It has a ton of easily accessible pockets that will be great for hiking/camping/birding. The waist isn't very long, so your wallet will get wet if you don't have waterproof pants. The collar is a bit stiff with the hood folded inside, but it is not uncomfortable. The neoprene sleeves are really nice.
By Idaho O from Southern Idaho on 05/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was hoping this would be similair to the simms wading jackets i've worn in the past. This is comparable to them but a much better price. Had a couple rain storms come through that knocked the salmon flies off into the water. With this thing on, I was able to forge on and slay some nice bows.
By Forty years on the River from Pennsylvania on 04/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Tight waist over waders Best Uses: Wading in the rain, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore it for the first time, wading a river in the Spring rain. It was cold and I had on neoprene waders. Tight in the waist. Very warm jacket works on cold Spring days but not acceptable as temperature warms up.
Pockets were good, other features good. No need to wear a vest underneath. Cannot comment on durability.
