I just bought another pair new so I have them when the first pair wears out (not anytime soon). They just feel great and are able to handle whatever I throw at them. I live and play in Alaska and these gloves have seen 35 below and are also comfortable in 30 above. I have used them 2 years and they have no problem wear areas. The leather palm is durable as these are used to chop/haul wood as well as ride snowmachines.
