Nice and warm but not good for skiing By Special Blend Mercy from Madison, WI on 01/26/2009 Cons: Poor grip on ski poles Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I searched the net for good mittens for cross country skiing and these came up. The gloves I have now are a bit too bulky. While these mittens are less bulky the grip is not good for skiing and your hands have to do extra work while gripping the poles. I would not recommend these for skiing. But they are comfortable otherwise and will just use them for casual everyday cold weather needs.
