Purchased a second pair for my brother!! By Buzz from God's Country, Wyoming on 10/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Adaptable for most winter sports in addition to shoveling snow.
By STW from Rocky mountains on 05/06/2009 Pros: Curved fingers, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Cons: Less isulation in thumb, Short fit of thumb Best Uses: Backcountry, Skiing, Winter motorcycling Gear Usage: motorcycling, Skiing, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The only problem with this glove is the odd construction of the thumb. The glove fingers are all well curved and long enough that my fingertips do not bottom out against the ends of the gloves--this is the right fit for warmth. However, the glove's thumbs are quite short compared to the fingers. My thumbtip bottoms out fully inside the glove's thumb, and long before the web of the thumb meets the gloves web. Don't use these with activities where you press something into the web of your thumb--you will just jam your thumb further into the glove. Cold thumb results. This thumb fit issue has not affected use in motorcycling and skiing where you do not press into the web of the thumb as in cycling, for example.
Also, the insulation is thinner in the thumb than in the fingers.
Cheep for a Go-rtex ski glove By NR from Brllingham on 03/22/2009 Pros: Good Grip, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The leather on the palms is thin. Ok for skiing won't be durable for rope work when climbing.
