These are FABULOUS pants! By jinx342 from Michigan on 10/30/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stain Resistant, Stylish, Warm, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual Wear, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am buying another pair of these as I literally almost wore my first pair out. These are warm without being bulky, fit is very flattering and they repel dirt without being stiff.
I first bought these in a sporting goods store and paid full price. I was bummed when I got tractor grease on them and it just hasn't come all the way out---when I saw them on Sierra Trading Post, I immediately ordered another pair. I will still keep my old ones to work outside in and the newer ones for dress/work. The black kind of look like ski pants, but the khaki are great for everyday. the black would be good for x-country skiing as you would not have to change into another pair of ski pants.
The seam on the front dresses them up a notch. They hit just below the navel and have a nice stretch but do not get baggy or stretched out. I can also wear light thermal underwear under them and they still don't look bulky or feel heavy. My weight fluctuates 3-5 lbs and these still fit great, make me feel good in them and are functional -- just love them!
I try not to dry in the dryer completely just because I find it breaks down clothes--but it helps to get the wrinkles out if you get them warm. You CANNOT iron these as they will melt, but wrinkles easily shake out.
Wish they had these in another color!
