By Busy Lawyer Mom from Denver, CO on 10/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Bad Weather, Going Out Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the color but it is limited to going with black and white only. A little too glitzy to go with denim. Ditto a little too glitzy for daytime. If you spend a lot of time in the mountains in the winter like I do, it may be a fun vest for evenings out.
Disappointed--2 sizes too big! By College Girl from West Coast on 10/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Nice color, Warm Cons: Bulky, Unflattering Shape Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am (by STP's chart) about size 10 in the waist and 12 in the bust. I got the size M (8-10) because I wanted a snugger fit, so I could wear it with just a light sweater underneath. Unfortunately, the 8-10 honestly fit like about a 14. I returned for a S and it fits better, especially in the bust, but it's certainly not sleek and fitted through the waist like I would like. Cinching in the waist just made it look super-puffy everywhere but the thin strip that is actually pulled in by the cord. Like tying a string around a marshmallow. Not too attractive.
Also, the hand pockets are pretty small and awkwardly placed, but it doesn't bother me much.
I think I'll keep the S, but I'm keeping the tags on, just in case. If I do end up keeping it, I'll certainly have to wear heavier layers than I'd wanted underneath it to make it fit.
On the plus side, the color is cool, and the pretty lining is a nice bonus. If it came in XS, this would be a 5-star review.
Rich color, versatile fun vest By Lucy's Mom from Rochester, NY on 09/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like this vest because the color is so rich and unusual. The weight is not heavy, but perfect for layering under a parka or casual wool coat. The overall quality is good and the cut flattering. I found it to run on the large side and had to exchange my original purchase for the next size down. I have also removed the hood because the fur is not the same level of quality as the rest of the garment. This is a fun winter item.
