Comments: I would usually wear a size 4, but I ordered a size 6 in this coat so I could wear a heavy sweater underneath. The size 6 coat felt more like a size 4 no matter what was underneath, so I'd recommend going up one size. My husband did not think the box-stitch pattern on the front was very figure-flattering. Since the collar always stood up, I was afraid I'd get makeup on it every time I turned my head to drive my car. I loved the hidden zippers and the beautiful inner lining, but the negatives outweighed the positives this time. I'm planning on returning the coat.

Comments: This jacket is absolutely beautiful, yet it is extremely warm. We just returned from skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Resort in Colorado where we skied one day with temps in the teens while snowing. I'm from Texas, and I don't like cold weather. However, this coat kept me warm and dry with 2 thin silk underlayers beneath my snow bib. I bought the green color. I got so many compliments during the 3 days we skiied. Of the thousands of people there, I saw only 2 other jackets that looked remotely similar. I also appreciated the obscure zippered compartments everywhere, including on the forearm where I kept chapstick and gum. Although this coat is lightweight, the form is on the 'puffy' side like many down jackets. As one reviewer noted, it could have been a bit more slimming in the waist area. However, the beauty of this jacket compensates for this small design issue. Lastly, this price is better than any price you will find in a local retail ski shop for this brand/quality. If they have your size, pick it up. You won't regret it.
