By bea allright from central NJ, by way of Maine on 02/23/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an awesome jacket for anything but alpine conditions, and could probably handle them with an extra layer. Great warmth to weight ratio. Nice cut- seems a little large, but just slightly.
By Mom on the go from Annapolis, MD on 11/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am so happy with this coat. It is so light and warm. I am 5'7" 125 lbs, ordered a M and it fits perfectly.
Fit really, really weirdly By Lookin' for a cozy layer from Durango, CO on 11/11/2008 Cons: Bulky, Irregular Size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was really looking forward to this jacket, but when it arrived in the mail and I tried it on, I knew I'd have to return it. The arms were too short, yet the torso was excessively roomy and the shoulders were ill-fitting. I had a friend try it on who is broader in the shoulders and chest than I am, and it was still weird and roomy on her. The color was cool and it seemed like it would be pretty warm, but I wasn't impressed. I'd reccomend that Sierra Designs redesigns the dimensions of this jacket to fit a normal person who is NOT built like a keg with mini-arms.
