Comfortable and light windstopper By Angela from Switzerland on 04/09/2009 Best Uses: Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear small and the only reason I bought a medium was that it was the only size left. But the medium is equivalent to a small so I recommend you buy on size up.
By Hiking fan from Frederick, MD on 04/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the other reviews of this jacket, I ordered a size large. I'm glad I did. I could wear a medium, but the large fits over a mid-weight sweater or a fleece without feeling tight, and I can wear it over a teeshirt without it looking too big. This jacket does block wind well, but isn't lined, so if you are looking for something for winter wear this isn't a good choice. I have worn it hiking, walking and standing in the dog park in 45-60 degree weather and crazy (for early April in Maryland) winds and have been comfortable. The sleeves are extra long with thumb holes and are very fitted along the forearm and at the wrist. The pit zips are super long and easy to adjust. The pockets are huge, and the zippers are easy to use even with gloves on. The look of this jacket is definitely on the sporty and outdoorsy side. Worth the price eventhough at first glance it seems thin.
Great Jacket. Shell Only. By Runs with Pup from Seattle, WA on 04/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Windstopper Cons: Not remotely insulating Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fair breezy weather, Under layer Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great product, but it's more of a fair weather, windy day shell. It does seem to provide protection from windchill, but it's quite light and does not provide warmth. The sizing is pretty trim and though I'm of a slender build, I went a size higher for a more comfortable fit that would allow me to wear a long-sleeve shirt underneath without bunching. I spend a lot of time at the beach with my dog, so this has been a worthwhile product for me, but I would not have purchased it at a higher price.
