I would recommend this jacket for spring or summer use because it does block the wind, but not a frigid wind. When it was about 33 degrees outside, I needed layers underneath, but the sleeves are quite tight and restricts layers. I am a petite person and the sleeves seemed a bit too long and the length of the jacket was a bit long on me--looked much better on my taller, slimmer sister! I will keep this jacket, however, and give it a shot in the spring.

The fit is perfect, it has a nice stretch, and the arms aren't all bulky. Lowe Alpine seems to run smaller, but this was true to size. I've worn it in cold to warm-ish weather with a t-shirt and it does its job. I mostly just wear it wherever, but it was also very comfortable and breathed well when running.
