Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A nice lightweight pack but not enough pockets/compartments - doesn't have a separate sleeping bag chamber and could use some small exterior pockets. Haven't used it yet but looking forward to doing so and seeing how it works in the backcountry.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this pack to take on a weekend hike into a backwoods campsite. I had to carry in food, clothing, tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, and tarp. The pack holds alot but it weighs quite a bit before loading. It doesn't suit small frames, despite its many adjustable straps. I'm 5'4", 110 lbs and this pack hurt my back by the end of three days. It's just too large and heavy, even packed with the lightest stuff I could find.
