By Houndstooth from Boise ID on 08/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Day Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think the unfavorable comparison to CRKT et al is a little unfair. This knife has great steel, secure liner-lock, and an ergonomic handle that I find secure in my hand (M Large glove). Grip is not tacky or textured, but is shaped well. Liner-locks are often hard to clean, but this has a good gap in the handle spine (making the handle on the thick side). Could be a little lighter, thinner. Contrary to the description, I'd call the blade a spear point, not drop point. Edge stayed admirably sharp after use on elk hair/hide.
By JAH from Atlanta, GA on 08/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Campgrounds, Day Trips, River Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very sharp and durable knife. I am going to Alaska soon and it will be with me on this trip.
