By Jean from Minneapolis on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Everyday Wear, Going Out, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not sure why the headline says these are men's shoes because they are great looking for women. In fact, I've never seen birkenstocks labeled as anything but unisex. The shoes are terrific looking and as comfortable as all the other pairs of Birkies I own.
By Bargain Hunter from Franklin, TN on 08/03/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My son is attending a private school next year, and since they have to wear uniforms the shoes are extra-important...so he wanted "real" Birkenstocks...I was not wanting to spend $120. These were such a great deal...the real thing for 1/2 the price!
Not just for men! Great shoes overall. By Arielle from Milford, CT on 07/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, great support, Stable Best Uses: Around the house, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Dress down Friday Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These clogs are great! I didn't expect anything less from Birkenstock and they delivered. I have problem feet: two Morton's neuromas and very high arches. I had srugery to release the deep transverse ligament in my right foot 3 months ago (to treat one neuroma), and I still can't wear "regular shoes". However, these Birk clogs look great and feel great. Now I can walk the dog and not have to immediately ice and elevate my feet when I come home. They truly are a lifesaver shoe for those of us with foot issues.
If you're blessed with problem-free feet, you'll still enjoy these. They're ergonomically designed to properly keep your back, knees, and hips aligned. What a treat!
I recommend that you apply some kind of leather protector to the shoes to keep them clean and not to wear them in the rain if you can help it. They're not meant to get wet. If you take care of them right, they'll last you for years and years.
**By the way, I am a woman and these shoes work great for me, too!
