Not very warm by itself. Plenty of good sized pockets. Overall, it's a decent shell for the money.

I had him try it on right when it came in mid December, and he begged to me to let him wear it skiing the next day. Plenty of great pockets for stashing stuff, he loves the fit and grabs this coat whenever we go out.
