By hollyp from denver, co on 09/02/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Bright, Durable, Relatively large capacity Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: this is a great carafe, so don't be frustrated trying to open it. first: only the top "knob" piece with push button can be removed. second: the trick is NOT to push the button down. rather, just turn the top "knob" of the carafe a quarter turn counter-clockwise (from the carafe handle in your right hand). it's a somewhat forceful turn, but i think this just reflects the quality/tightness of the seal. enjoy!!...[...]
