Not very high end items. I kept some and replaced others, added handwarmers and a heavy blanket for winter emergencies. I do like the case and the AM/FM radio is a nice touch.
By sparrowgrass from Ironton, MO on 12/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been doing lots of emergency preparedness training as part of my work. This IS NOT a complete disaster kit, but it is a good start, and a great thing to keep in the car.
Check out the Red Cross website for additional info on disaster kits.
I bought 3 of these for the folks who work in my office, and just ordered another one for myself.
By superkev22 from san jose, ca on 08/11/2008 Best Uses: Earthquake preparedness Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: There are a few useful emergency items in this pack, but overall, nothing too special about it. Ended up just stashing at home as insurance, in case some disaster happens.
