By gil420 from San Pablo, CA on 04/15/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Environmentalist Sizing: Feels half size too big, Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these as a casual boot for everyday use in wet/cold weather. They fit perfect since I bought them a half size larger. I have flat/wide feet so they fit snug and secure. The Capilene lining make them warm so I would not recommend them in warm weather. The top two lace hooks are also close together so u have to take your time to lace them up and the lugs stick out on the sides so they get caught on stuff but that's no big deal. The canvas-like outer material seems like would make them tough to clean as well. If I were so inclined they would be great for hiking rugged terrain and the slight stiffness would probably make them good for light loads. Over all I am very happy. For the price and Patagonia quality u can't beat it.
