Comments: I have only worn the wading shoes one time on a day trip fly fishing but I am favorably impressed. Good grip on wet rocks, dried quickly, fit well. An excellent value! Not crazy about the 'D' ring eyes and would like a little longer shoelace, but that is easily corrected.

Since I am a novice fly-fisherman, and I didn't want to spend a ton of money, I decided to try these boots on the Pit River in California.
Although they felt comfortable when I first put them on, I found that they stretched out almost immediately when they got wet, which did not enhance my ability to balance on the large and slippery rocks in the Pit.
The soles look like rain boots that someone had randomly decided to decorate with a couple of pieces of felt. This meant that the actual contact area of the sole was quite small, and the raised heel made them feel very unstable in the river. It was impossible to enjoy fishing while feeling at any minute I was going to be knocked off my feet by the current!
I will definitely look for a different boot after I return these - thanks to Sierra Trading Post's guarantee, I can eventually get the right boots.
