Excellent and Rugged Boot By J the hunter from Boston, MA on 10/26/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these boots for general hiking and also to wear hunting in South Dakota. I did not have time to break the boots in, but found them comfortable and not too heavy. I had only one small blister after three days of constant wear. I spent two days slogging through muddy cornfields and tall grasses and found these boots comfortable, with good traction and excellent water resistance. While the boots are a little short to provide ultimate protection against water, even when water topped my boots, they were still comfortable. The water drained quickly out and was wicked away from my foot, so I could carry on walking without squelching around; having stepped in several ponds, I had only a slightly damp sock at the end of the day and my feet were not cold and wet. Can't wait to take these out hiking and snow shoveling.
