Comfort & Function That's Not Ugly By needtrees from Teton Valley, ID on 09/29/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Scrambling, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took a little breaking in and I had to use moleskin on my heels, but no big deal. I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal and I wish I had gone a full size larger. I like the fact that this shoe is relatively stiff - provides a good, solid platform on rock. Grip is fantastic in dry conditions. They stick like glue and inspire confidence. I haven't tried them in wet conditions yet. I haven't had them long enough to comment on how well they'll last. My brother has the men's version and has worn them almost daily for over a year. He loves them and they have held up exceptionally well, especially considering that he wears them for everything from hiking to walking on pavement to mowing the lawn.
By comfort queen from west greenwich, RI on 09/08/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Great support, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a walking shoe that would give my ankles the support they need. All my other walking shoes have been lacking support. But when I got these I was so happy with the stability that they offer. I put my orthotics in them as well.and they feel great. Excellent quality and workmanship.
