These 'vitello caramel' (calfskin) loafers are superbly sewn using a glove-grade leather that has the typical calfskin "buttery" texture. Detailing is fastidious with their signature black piping tracing the contour lines of the uppers. The tips of the shoes are more pointed than most and remind me of turkish "seraglio(harem) slippers". The sizing is correct length-wise; however, the width is a bit narrow for my feet ("e" american). As with most artisan-type footwear, the shoes are good for a few hours wear, after that they can become uncomfortable as the footbed is characteristically hard - italian-made shoes tend to use a compacted/pressed leather sole that is a bit hard (though durable)on the feet. For some reason these shoes do not crease as easily as my other testonis though all calfskin creases and, without constant care, crease badly with regular use. all-in-all a good buy for this level of shoe craftsmanship.
