Am pleased enough to be taking them to India for several weeks of high altitude use next year. Hard to see why they're seconds!

SmartWool socks are the only way to go. We've worn the crew versions exclusively for a few years now--for travel, hiking, running, etc. We recently switched to over-the-calf styles to help our vascular circulation in our lower exremities during the long days at work. These socks really make a difference and keep us comfortable all day. Although they're ski socks, they work great during the summer while inside the hospital.
