By Beginner Chris from Rochester, MN on 04/07/2008 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Quality Construction, Warm Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The lacing system on these boots saves a lot of time. Sometimes the laces stay tight the whole day and sometimes they need to be re-tightened. The laces tend to get in the way a little more than regular laces. All in all, all minor problems. I'm very happy with these boots.
Ok Boots, Lace Handle Busts! Flexy By Dbo from PA on 03/28/2008 Pros: Easy Lacing System, Warm Cons: Lacks Adjustability, Poor Construction, Poor Traction, Too Much Flex Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots have not held up well. They are easy to tighten, but they loosen up after just a few runs. After 10 uses or so, the cord started to pull out of the handle that tightens these boots. One of the handles pulled off, and I had to tie the two ends of cord together to tighten the boots. The day after, the other handle pulled off, and I had to tie it like I did the other. The whole time they were in working order I didn't like them anyway. They were very flexy and terrible and harsh for landing jumps and rails. They didn't give good padding or response on the mountain either. If you're looking for good quality durable boots look elsewhere.
By DG from Fort Collins, CO on 01/26/2008 Pros: Easy Lacing System, Good Traction, Warm Cons: Laces Slip, Poor Quality Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The lacing system lets me get ready quickly, but it comes at a cost...boots need to be retightened several times a day.
I also had a lace bust after using the boots for just over a month. After looking at my laces more closely, it looks like the others will be breaking soon too! Spend the extra money to actually get a good pair of boots.
