By Snowlove from Denver, CO on 10/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Wind Resistant Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backcountry, Backpacking, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Skiing, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love my new OR Proxy Jacket! It seems to be a hybrid ski jacket- part durable ski coat, part buttery puffy coat. It's not overly puffy, and it is quite flattering. I ordered an XL because I have broad shoulders and wide hips; coat fit well with enough room for a few fitted layers. I have worn this around town and hanging out outdoors in the cold, but I haven't had a chance to take it skiing yet. It seems warm and breathable. I can squish it down fairly small and compact, a definite plus for camping/backpacking. I am a little worried about it's durability and waterproofing/water resistance, but I guess we'll see. Outdoor Research usually has very high quality products. The cut is flattering, but there aren't a lot of frills on this coat. It could probably use an extra chest pocket accessible from the outside, but I like it for it's simplicity.
