Raichle All-Degree Pro SL Gore-Tex® Moun By Jens from Switzerland on 07/06/2009 Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: will see after some walks
Lightweight, good contruction By jimborocks from Washington State on 06/20/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels half size too big, Feels too large Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although I have not yet tested these boots in the conditions they were designed for I find them lighter and equipped with the same Vibram sole as many other more expensive Mountaineering boots. The sizing is off by about a whole size. I normally wear an 11 but in this boot I needed a 12. I feel pretty confident judging by the construction of the boot they will last a long time and perform well. Time will be the ultimate judge.
By Ohio climber from Heath, Ohio on 04/24/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Amazing value from STP! I bought these boots in my regular shoe size as an alternative to wearing thick socks, which I do not like. They are a half size small, so I allowed for this. The fit is superb and they were comfortable right out of the box. I look forward to using them for technical rock climbing as well as (short days) on vertical ice.
