By Oldschooler from Bakersfield, CA on 11/09/2009 Pros: Easy To Transport, Quality appeared good Cons: Didn't like the reel seat Best Uses: Fly Fishing, River Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I did not use the rod so I can't comment on its performance. The fact that two tip sections were included is novel for current rods. My problem with it is that the design and finish of both the rod and reel seat were just not traditional enough to suit me. The attempt to be unique went just a little too far in my opinion. I own a lot of rods and just couldn't warm up to this design.
By NJ flyfisherman from Morris country, NJ on 09/22/2009 Pros: Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport, Flexible, Sensitive Best Uses: Fly Fishing, River Fishing, Small Fish Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this rod (#4 wt) to be used on smaller streams for smaller fish. Have just fished it a couple of time but is impressed with the smooth action and the fun I've had landing panfish and trout using it. I wasn't looking for a casting cannon but this one still throws a #4 WF pretty well and further than I would ever need around here. I don't know how well it will hold up to bigger fish and longer term abuse, so it is four stars leaning towards all five.
Extremely great rod for the price By UCSFsmile from Carmel Valley, CA on 09/10/2009 Pros: Accurate Casting, Durable, Easy To Transport, Exceptional cork handle, Flexible, Good Tip Action, Sensitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This rod is not too stiff like many other rods on the market. As a result it is much more forgiving when setting the hook and playing a fish resulting in fewer breakoffs.
