I used this jacket while white tail hunting in Missiouri and we had all types of weather over 6 days. This was a very comfortable jacket that I used as my out side layer. There were a few morinings when it could have been a little thicker but it did a great job of keeping out the wind and it keep out a light rain well too. There are internal zippers that look like you can zip in a vest.
