I have been happy with my High Sierra By Gypsy Rosalie from NYC on 11/18/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Transport, Large Capacity Best Uses: Airline Travel, Extended Travel, Short Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I travel a lot & have been using the High Sierra 36" now with luggage weight down--I'm downsizing. I have been happy with High Sierra. My Samsonite of this size didn't last as long as my High Sierra. My only complaint is that I never use it for backpacking & would like to have the choice of not getting the backpack parts on the luggage.
By hondararr from Central Florida on 08/04/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Transport, Large Capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Airline Travel, Extended Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband used this on a month long trip in SE Asia. We lugged that bag aboard 9 flights, trains, buses, vans, taxis, tuk-tuks, hand carts, jumbos, and long-tailed boats with minimal difficulty. It is a large bag, so we had to make sure it was on the bottom. The added straps on the back were helpful when traversing difficult terrain. It was easy to lock and the side pouches very helpful for storing dirty or wet items and items you needed to get to quickly. The durability and quality are very good and it should last quite a while.
