Comments: Wasn't sure what to expect after seeing mixed reviews. Took this on an overnight canoe trip on the 11 Point River in Missouri. HUGE bag held everything needed for an overnight; bag, tent, pad, boots and clothes were no match for this 8,000+ cu inch beast. Roll top and side straps are guaranteed to keep gear bone dry in nearly any situation. We kept the canoes upright throughout, but I wasn't at all concerned about this bag hitting the water. I can see how the straps could eventually tear from the bag but with a little TLC and common sense, that shouldn't be an issue. I don't expect to carry this for any kind of distance though, outside of the occasional short run portage.

Pros:
Good Capacity, Tight Closure, Waterproof
Cons:
Tears Easily, Weak Seams
Describe Yourself:
Competitive
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: Bag is BIG and waterproof, but the straps tore out on my first multi-day raft trip just from carrying it from boat to campsite for five days. It might be waterproof, but what's the point in having straps if they're going to fail immediately.
