I took them on a 7 week cruise around South America and wore them everyday almost. I could hid my cash and ID and felt safer than carrying a purse.
I only wish there were two zip pockets so I could stash more stuff in them.

I usually wear an XS (I'm a petite 110 lbs)and had to exchange it for a S because the shoulders are now narrower than others I have bought in the past. I liked it so much that I ordered another one in a different color. Label says not to iron but I did on LOW and it's fine. I "hung dried" it but there were wrinkles that needed to be pressed. I have never been disappointed in ExOfficio and this one is no exception

I will not use it for hiking for camping, because it is stylish and appropriate to wear to work as a professional.
