dissapointed - no reecption By Gin from Ridgway, CO on 09/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Perhaps this would work in other places, but so far it has not picked up the weather stations for me. Not even in town.
By WaterBoy G from Long Island, New York on 08/22/2009 Pros: Easy to use, Lightweight Cons: A bit on the cheap side Best Uses: Daily Use, Hurricane kit Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good basic weather radio - popped in a battery and it worked just fine. A couple of things to note: this is a very inexpensive radio with a small speaker - don't expect high fidelity, but that's OK; it does the job. Before buying, check your local NOAA Weater Radio broadcast frequency (use your favorite web search engine) and ensure that this radio receives it - you only get 3 frequencies on this radio (162.400, 162.475, 162.550 MHz).
