However, the shoe itself, once on, feels comfortable, durable and the sole is great for icy days.

That top buckle strap is a pain, but once I got them on & was sure they fit right, I took scissors & cut that strap off at the tongue, and now they're great. It took about a day to work the stiffness out of them, but no blisters. They're quiet walking, & the sole is fantastic. They'd be great motorcycle boots.
