Not only is it perfect for my GF's western costume...but it's flexible enought to look good with my Wyatt Earp costume. My other hats are not as flexible in those terms...
By Cowboy Engineer from Boston, MA on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Classic style, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The size Small(6 7/8 to 7)was of course, a bit loose for my size 6 3/4 head, but adding a few wraps of cotton lace tucked inside the sweatband snugs it up nicely. The short crown(3 1/2" front & rear, 4 1/2" center)kept the brim from bending my ears down, a common problem for small heads with most other brimmed hats. The tan patina color works well for hard outdoor play and flatters a fair complexion. The grometted suede stampede string cinched tight to the back of my head kept it secure during a blustery day of bass fishing. Not crushable, no wire in brim, no lining inside crown.
